Our People.

Our People are Our Business.

One of AsiaPac Oil & Gas’ most important core values is Our People. We welcome and invite applications and expressions of interest from anybody interested in a career in the oil and gas industry, regardless of race, religion, gender, age or culture. Our philosophy is simple - If your core values align with ours, then our organisation is a good fit for you, and you are a good fit for our organisation.

Competency Assurance.

AsiaPac Oil & Gas maintains a Competency Assurance Program (CAP) to ensure our personnel are trained, competent and qualified to carry out their tasks. Under the dutiful eye of experienced and qualified supervisors and managers, our employees are trained to the highest of standards and are not signed off as competent until there is absolute certainty that they can conduct their work safely, efficiently, and in line with ATLAS requirements.

The Next Generation.

Fishing and Intervention services in particular is an ageing business. Many of the offshore personnel are approaching retirement, or have taken overseas assignments, leaving much less local expertise than in previous years. It is AsiaPac Oil & Gas’ goal to rejuvenate the Fishing and Intervention services industry, particularly in Malaysia, where the youth of the industry have the enormous potential to add greater value and energy to our clients’ operations.

In commitment to this goal, AsiaPac Oil & Gas actively recruits graduates directly out of university, runs continuous internship opportunities, and “doubles up” on personnel whenever possible on the wellsite, at no cost to our customers, to provide on-the-job training alongside experienced supervisors. These trainees will be trained and assessed in accordance with our Competency Assurance Program, and their careers will be driven to their highest potential while under our care.

Equal Opportunities.

We are an equal opportunities employer. AsiaPac Oil & Gas actively encourages women to get involved in the oil and gas industry, and we are strong advocates of empowering women in oil and gas and engineering fields.

Career Development.

In 2019, AsiaPac Oil & Gas implemented a scheme where each member of supervisory or
management staff will be required to develop a protégé in order to develop their careers, provide succession and project continuity, prevent stagnation in the industry, and ensure a satisfying workplace. Our managers-in-training are developed and taught all the skills necessary to take their careers to the next stage, either with AsiaPac Oil & Gas or another company of their choosing. This initiative is known as AsiaPac's DOUBLEUP program.

Employee Retention & Benefits.

In line with our core values relating to employee wellbeing, AsiaPac's goal is to provide a workplace that our employees want to stay at, that is rewarding, and that provides them with work-life balance and job satisfaction. Our benefits and remuneration packages are closely tied to performance and teamwork, which encourages maximum performance, cooperation and service quality. Some of the benefits we offer our employees are:
  • Industry-leading basic salary packages;
  • Performance and KPI-based regular bonus incentives;
  • Annual bonus incentives;
  • Non-scrupulous medical coverage for employees and their families;
  • Pregnancy, neonatal and postnatal care for both mothers and fathers;
  • Generous leave entitlements, including equal paid maternity/paternity leave;
